Carbon negative sustainable home

Sustainable

Carbon negative by design

37%

of global CO2 emissions are caused by the construction industry.

Cement alone causes 8% of global emissions. Steel demands massive fossil energy. The debt we build today will be paid by the next generation.

Near-zero waste by design.

Near-zero waste by design.

Factory prefabrication can eliminate waste in certain production stages and reduce waste by around 70% overall compared with a traditional construction site.

Full lifecycle transparency.

Full lifecycle transparency.

Every input, every emission, every end-of-life pathway is measured and published in our EPD. The full document is public, so you can see how every measured gram of CO2 is accounted for.

Certifications that matter.

Certified

Passivhaus System Certification

The MODULAR system is certified by the Passivhaus Institute from Darmstadt to the world's strictest thermal, airtightness, and ventilation standards. Over 2,000 tracked parameters considered.

EPD Hub

Full lifecycle transparency audited by a third party. Confirms carbon-negative at -101 kg CO2e/m² from raw material to end of life.

FSC & PEFC

Chain-of-custody on all applicable timber. Timber traceable from sustainably managed European forests to your home.

Our principles

Notes and sources

  1. EPD HUB-0050 covers the MODULAR external-wall assembly assessed in 2022 and is valid until 01.06.2027. It uses the earlier cellulose insulation; current homes use STEICO wood-fibre insulation. The material principles are similar, but calculated impacts can differ. The −101 kg CO₂e/m² result applies to the declared wall in production stages A1–A3, not automatically to the current assembly.External-wall EPD HUB-0050 (PDF)
  2. The 350.4 t figure is an illustrative Bloom 190 scenario over 50 years: 294.1 t of modelled avoided operational CO₂ plus 56.3 t of CO₂ stored in the assessed wall, floor and roof panels. Energy savings use (150 − 30) kWh/m²/year × 0.75 × 190 m² × 50 years, multiplied by 0.344 kg CO₂/kWh, the German 2025 electricity-generation factor held constant for this illustration. Panel carbon storage uses EPDs HUB-0050 and HUB-0048. Stored carbon and avoided emissions are different quantities; their sum is not a verified whole-building lifecycle saving. Area, climate, energy source, use, material changes and end of life affect the result.Calculation and assumptionsExternal-wall EPD HUB-0050 (PDF)Slab EPD HUB-0048 (PDF)German electricity factor, UBA
