The History
2012: BIOBUILDS founded by Alin Muste.
2014: Development of the first straw module prototype with an innovative automated trimming process for straw panels.
2015: Opening of the Moreni factory to produce straw-insulated timber-frame wall panels.
2016: Completion of the Hill House project, a 30 sqm tiny house with no foundation and high energy efficiency.
2017: Completion of Ria House, achieving a remarkable energy performance of 2 kWh/m2/year, and beginning development of a fully robotic production line.
2018: Showcase of innovative prefabricated walls at the largest annual event for green building professionals worldwide.
2019: Opening of an architectural office in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, expanding the portfolio and improving the customer experience.
2020: Construction of the SOL RESIDENCE complex, the first passive prosumer street in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe.
2021: Integration of automated modular production technology in Cluj-Napoca plant.
2022: Launch of the Zero Energy Module, a new generation of buildings meeting the sustainability requirements of 2050.

The Story
Established in 2012, BIOBUILDS has grown into a multidisciplinary company specializing in architectural design and manufacturing of sustainable, energy-efficient prefab houses. Innovation is a hallmark of the company, demonstrated by the groundbreaking straw module prototype, robotic production line, and continued expansion into new markets. Today, the product line includes Prefab houses made in a factory producing prefabricated straw walls and ceilings, and Modular buildings produced in another factory.
